Sandy’s Brown Sugar Cookies

From my Aunt Sandy.

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour milk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp soda
2 tsp. baking powder

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together and add alternating with the milk. Bake at 350 on an ungreased cookie sheet.

2 c. finely chopped onion
1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. cold water
1/3 c. water
1/2 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp salt

Grandma’s Cheese Ball

My family apparently has a lot of cheese ball recipes.

 1 stick butter
2  8 oz.  cream cheese
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 T. chopped onion
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
1 T. each pimento and green pepper

Mix together. Form into ball.  Chill.

Gertrude’s Beet Pickles

Dave’s Jerky Recipe

4 gallons good water
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. Morton tender quick
1 oz. garlic salt
2 oz. whole pepper corns
10-14 lb. meat, cut into 1/4 - 1/2 in strips

Chocolate Pudding Pie

1 1/2 c. cold milk
1 pkg (4 serving size) Jello Chocolate InstantPuddin’
