Popovers

Print ME! Print ME!
  • 1/2 c. flour sifted twice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Beat eggs until very light, stir into milk and put this slowly into flour into which salt has been added.  Put in hot greased muffin rings and cook 15 to 20 minutes.  This makes 6 popovers.

This recipe does not have a cooking temperature, but popovers should be cooked in a 450 oven.  I am suspicious of this incredibly simple recipe, so I am going to try it for your sake.  I’ll get back to you on this one.   (full disclosure:  I have wanted popovers for a week, and these make them sound simple enough to make.)
