1 can Campbell’s French Onion soup
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. mushrooms sliced (one small can)
1 8 oz can sliced water chestnuts, undrained
1 c. uncooked regular white rice
Combine soup and butter, stir well. Drain mush and water chestnuts, add enough water to liquid to make 1 1/3 cups. Add all ingredients to soup mix. Stir well. Pour into greased 10x6x2 pan. cover and bake at 350 for one hour.

I really don’t like water chestnuts. Especially not when mixed with French Onion Soup and a stick of melted butter. yark.

Hi, thanks for all the great recipes throughout this site, makes it easier to get something going, also gives me ideas on lots of things to try.
