1 egg, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup lard, salt, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp soda, 2 tsp cream of tartar, 1/2 c. milk. Flour to mix stiff enough to roll very thin. Take one cookie, place the filling on it and put another cookie on top.

Filling

1 cup raisins chopped fine, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water, 1 T. flour. Set on stove until it thickens.
